THE SHARC AUTONOMOUS LANDING CRAFTTHE SMALL HIGH-SPEED AMPHIBIOUS ROLE LANDING CRAFT HAS LANDED. [SHARC]

Since 2019, Tactical Composites has been working with the US Marine Corps Systems Command to develop the next generation of landing craft.  In 2022 we moved into Phase II in the development for the US Navy and Marine Corp, the Small High-Speed Amphibious Role-Variant Craft or [SHARC].

This vessel features a catamaran hull manufactured with layers of advanced composite materials that gives it tremendous strength while allowing for advantageous weight savings in construction. The SHARC will be how the US Navy and Marine Corp will move men and material in future amphibious landing operations. The vessel pulls a shallow draft which will enable it to operate in shallow waters along with two outboard engines and a deployable mast for autonomous operations.

[SHARC]

We currently have 38' and 45' variants depending on mission requirements.

The amphibious campaigns of the future will call for a landing craft that can be easily operated both manually and autonomously. The SHARC can be sailed remotely or easily operated by one crew member. With its catamaran hull, the vessel is very stable in high seas and can be easily navigated over obstructions in shallow waters.

The SHARC’s composite materials constructed hull gives it the strength and capability to carry a fully loaded combat vehicle or multiple combat ready US Marines.
